You should check you can connect via USB in case you can't connect over Wi Fi, on the Mac it involves running the Web Application installer that mounts, then after some fiddling you can get 192.168.1.1 to load over USB. I managed to enable 5GHz on my Osprey but that disabled 2Ghz.

Furthermore, installing the wrong Alcatel drivers can make these problems even worse.

Recommendation: If you are inexperienced with updating Alcatel device drivers manually, we highly recommend downloading the Alcatel ONE TOUCH LINK W800 Driver Utility.

anyone ever find anything else out about this device?

Alcatel W800 is a powerful 4G LTE Wi Fi Hotspot which could support 4G FDD Bands 700/800/850/900/AWS/1800/1900/2100/2600 MHz, which would let W800 work on almost all the common FDD networks.

Alcatel One Touch Link W800 is a category 3 mobile Wi Fi dongle, it could supports up to 100Mbps download speed and 50Mbps upload speed.

When 3G and 2G networks are backward compatible, up to 10 Wi Fi users could access internet through Alcatel Link W800.

During the preview version of Win10 I was able to find Win10 drivers that worked on Seagate's official site.

Now that the Win10 is released the One Touch 4 isn't recognized.
